Julie Castro Abrams Web picJulie Castro Abrams, CEO, Women's Initiative For Self-Employment Julie Castro Abrams joined Women's Initiative as CEO in January 2002 and during that time Women's Initiative has helped hundreds of low income women from around the Bay Area become entrepreneurs and distributed thousands of dollars in microenteprise loans. The organization has expanded into 3 new Northern California counties and continues to offer significant new services that contribute to the success of entrepreneurs and economic growth in the Bay Area. Julie is a nationally sought after expert in microenterprise and women's economic empower

Morning Star Gali picMorning Star Gali, Native American Activist on behalf of Indigenous women Morning Star Gali is a member of the Achumawi Band of the Pit River Nation and is also of Chiricahua Apache, Yaqui and Filipina (Ilocano) descent. Over the last 10 yeras, she has worked for a number of Indigenous non-profit organizations and volunters in a nearby Federal Women's Prison under religious services, working with the Indigenous women's population. As a co-chair of Advocates to Protect Sacred Sites she strives to bring education and awareness to sacred sites protection issues. She is currently a full time student at Mills College majoring in anthropology-sociology and ethnic studies and is a recent Institute for Civic Leadership scholar.

Paula GoldmanPaula Goldman, Founder, "Imagining Ourselves: A Global Generation of Women" Paula Goldman is Founder and Director of the award-winning Imagining Ourselves project at the International Museum of Women, which has given a voice to millions of young women around the world. An anthropologist and social entrepreneur, she melds academic skills with a background in public policy in order to make a difference on global poverty and human rights.

Dian Harrison PicDian Harrison, President, Planned Parenthood, Golden Gate Dian Harrison has over 30 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector and is currently the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate (PPGG).  Dian has been a very effective voice for diversity within the Federation by raising issues of multiculturalism and taking a leadership role on many diversity task forces and has become a voice of equity and fairness. She has received many awards including being named one of the five outstanding local heroes by KQED for Women's History Month in 2006, and one of the Bay Area's most Influential Women in Business by the San Franciso Business Times in 2005
