Cross-Cultural Communications' Effective Influence Conference

 - Feeling worried, overwhelmed or stalled in your career?
 - Wondering how the economy will impact your relationships?
 - Looking for tools to help you to make meaningful connections?
 - Interested in learning ways to accelerate your progress?

Transitions abound in 2009, including political and economic as well as professional and personal transitions. Most people face greater challenges in such times, but as always, women of color face additional challenges and additional opportunities. However unsettling, times of transition can be harnessed into opportunities for positive change and growth, for finding greater support and connection.

Join us for an evening with trainers and coaches from the Effective Influence Conference, who will lead us in learning how to create those moments of connection that can so accelerate our professional development, and that are also so essential in developing and deepening sources of support in our lives.

Being effective nowadays means knowing not only what works, but also with whom and when. Effective Influence is a proven, results-oriented residential conference about learning how to meet our own goals more effectively with people who are different from ourselves. Learning about cross-cultural communication is self-directed and facilitated by expert trainers in small workgroups, on the "value-added" rather than "remedial" side. Attendees learn by doing, evaluating successes and failures while accelerating each other's learning via live interaction, honest feedback, coaching and practice. 50% or more of each workgroup consists of people of color in the professions.
